Working with well-known local logistics business, Elddis Transport, Beckwith & Hanlon provided specialist Section 278 detailed design associated with a new access junction and footpath off Jowett Way in Newton Aycliffe.
Elddis Transport had owned the land for a while and when they decided to utilise this land for additional storage for their haulage vehicles, we provided a full detailed design which included general arrangement drawings, levels and setting out plan, long and cross sections, road markings layout, street lighting design and layout, coloured-up legal plans and construction details.
Working closely with the Local Authority Highways and Street Lighting Departments, technical approvals were gained for both the highway works and associated street lighting, so that site works could commence thereafter and Elddis could use this land to its full potential.
