The proposed development was associated with a new rugby club facility for Amber Valley to allow them to vacant their current site to facilitate the redevelopment for a new housing development. The new facility consists of 2No. floodlit rugby pitches, 1No. unlit pitch along with clubhouse providing changing rooms, physio facilities, toilets, showers, bar, kitchen and cellar as well as access/circulation road and parking area.
Beckwith & Hanlon were appointed to provide Pre Planning services to support a planning application which included a Flood Risk Assessment, Preliminary Drainage Strategy, Noise Assessment, Phase 1 Desk Study and Soakaway Testing. The preliminary design element included a train of SUDS features consisting of open swales, filter drains, permeable paving and crated tank system providing water quality and attenuation requirements with the overall design ensuring full compliance with Sport England requirements.
